Turmoil and Mayhem

On the morning of August 14, 2021, around 8:30 AM ET, Haiti was shaken by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Haiti’s southern peninsula was dismantled and shortly a Tsunami warning was issued for the coastal city of Petit-Trou-de-Nippes. Confusion and panicked towns people disburse the streets while homes and business came tumbling down. According to sources, 2,248 Haitians perished from this disaster and about 12,000 injured. Thus far, this has been the deadliest disaster to hit Haiti, since the earthquake back in 2010.
